History

The history of Rozbicki Hotel dates back to the 18th century, when Mateusz Gładyszewski opened a sizable brick inn in the center of Włocławek, opposite to the Franciscan monastery. Initially, there were stables, a barn, and granary next to it, but in time, the outbuildings were demolished and the main structure was transformed into a two-story building. In the hands of subsequent owners, Mr. and Mrs. Wesołowski, the building underwent a series of renovations, regaining its original form in 1988 and being entered into the register of historical monuments. Between 2011 and 2015, the Polski Hotel—as it was called back then—was repurchased, extensively restored and acquired its current name – Rozbicki Hotel.
